I have terrible travel itch. I keep looking at Pinterest, travel blogs, pictures and videos from our previous travels and all I want right now is to be on a plane by the window, looking out at the clouds, knowing I am going on another adventure. Already fed up with watching Tik Tok videos and have had more than enough wine. I know travelling at the moment is not possible, but that doesn’t stop us from dreaming, right? That’s why today I compiled together My Ultimate Travel Bucket List. I believe that one day all the places I want to see and things I want to do will be crossed off!
Do you have a Bucket List? Have you done any of them yet? If so, share them with us in the comments below!

See the Big 5 in Africa and gorillas in Uganda
I’ve always been fascinated by wildlife, especially with big cats and elephants so it’s no wonder seeing the BIG 5 is on top of my list. I would love to visit Africa and do a proper safari tour to see all the animals in their natural habitat and take some amazing pictures. I know that this would be a lifetime experience. Whilst in Africa, I would love to observe gorillas in Uganda. I’ve seen so many documentaries about their life, spotting a silverback gorilla would be hard to forget. Plus, have you seen the sunsets they get in Africa?
Alaska was always close to my heart because of its nature and wildlife. As a child, I watched all the kids movies about friendly bears (although I know they aren’t so friendly) and ever since I’ve wanted to visit. The scenery composed of mountains with white toppings; wide rivers steadily cutting their way through the Earth and forests full of wildlife – now you understand why Alaska is included in My Ultimate Travel Bucket List?
Route 66 Road Trip
Rafting down the Colorado River
Have you ever done water rafting? I’ve done it once and had so much fun; it’s also a great upper body workout! I would love to do it again, but this time along the expansive Colorado River, on the bottom of the majestic Grand Canyon while taking in the breathtaking views of the red sand mountains!
Visit the North Pole: See wild polar bears and the Northern Lights
Polar Bears are one of my favourite animals and although I’ve seen them in sanctuaries, it isn’t the same as seeing them their natural environment. They are fascinating animals and their cubs are the cutest. Also, North Pole has the most spectacular light show Mother Nature has to offer and I would love to witness it with my own eyes!
Visit Rio De Janeiro
Have you seen the movie, Rio? If yes, you totally understand why I want to visit Rio de Janeiro! All the variegated streets; panoramic views from the top of the Corcovado Mountain down to the bay and all the musical vibes and food choices!
Drive a Mustang in Miami
There isn’t a specific reason to visit Miami, I just want to visit it, to understand why it is so popular, maybe it’s overrated? I’d dip my toes in the ocean and cruise along in a blue convertible Mustang with the roof down. Would I feel like a celebrity? Maybe. Come on, a girl can dream! We rented a limo with a driver in Las Vegas, so doing something similar in Miami would be epic!
Visit Universal Studio and Disneyworld in Orlando
While visiting Miami, I’m also planning to visit Orlando, starting with Universal Studios. I’m not a fan of big roller-coasters but loved all the themed rides in Universal Studios, Hollywood. And of course as a fan of Harry Potter, I really, really want to visit Diagon Alley and Hogwarts in Orlando!
See Jordan’s Lost City
The entire scenery of Petra looks like it’s from a different planet; very often it gets compared to Mars. Red sands and history of an ancient civilisation built into the rocks are something everyone should visit.
Cruise in the Caribbean waters and wear fancy dresses
I love the Caribbean, its sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and sea life full of colours. Caribbean islands are the perfect holiday destination if you want to chill out, eat and drink too much and do a little exploring. I’ve never been on a cruise so this was always on my list. Plus I love elegant dresses so it would be the perfect opportunity to get dressed up every evening and celebrate! It’s my 30th in January and Carl booked a Caribbean cruise for us with a 3-day hotel stay in Barbados. I really, really hope that the travel ban will be gone by then and the travel industry recovers.
See Machu Picchu
After reading Lianna’s blog about her hike to Machu Picchu, I got very inspired and had to add it to My Ultimate Travel Bucket List. Machu Picchu is one of the most famous archaeological sites and drives visitors from around the world. This inspiring ancient city is also one of the 7 Wonders of the World.
Drink wine in Tuscany and eat Italian pasta
I have this image in my head of myself – wearing a gorgeous white summer dress with wedge sandals and a straw hat while sipping wine on a beautiful sunny day in Tuscany, with a plate of Italian pasta in front of me. I’m a lover of wine and food, so visiting Tuscany is not only on My Ultimate Travel Bucket List but also on my best food and drinks experience list. It is all about the flavours and Italians are known for their uniqueness in the kitchen.
Revisiting San Francisco and enjoying all the restaurants
San Francisco is a beautiful city to visit. I loved my trip to San Francisco and would love to return, but this time I would take my time exploring all the hidden cafes and restaurants because San Francisco has plenty of them! I’ve dreamt of visiting San Francisco since I was 15, I was obsessed with Danielle Steel books and TV series Monk which made me love San Francisco long before I visited. I wasn’t disappointed and returning would feel like coming home.
Spend three months in New Zealand
I would be happy with just one month, but three is more preferable. I want to have enough time to get to known this gorgeous island with its majestic nature and hidden gems, from skiing in the mountains, road trips from one side of the island to the another, sleeping under the stars to taking surfing lessons. Adventure is calling.
Road trip around Faroe Islands
A magical bundle of islands located in the Atlantic Sea, full of breathtaking backdrops, hills and tiny villages; a perfect place for a road trip to explore its nature and little-known wonders.
Fly Business Class or a First Class
I’ve been saving my Avios Points for such a long time now and hoping that one day, maybe when I turn forty, I will have enough points to book either business class or a first-class seat on a long haul flight and enjoy all its perks. I’ve only ever flown in Economy class!
